Shepherd’s pie with mushrooms

 

We need (approx amounts):

½ Kilo minced beef

olive oil

2 chopped onions

2 peeled tomatoes, sliced

a little flour

200 grams of dried mushrooms

The water from the mushrooms

Parsley, dried herbs, salt and freshly ground pepper

1 kilo of mashed potatoes

grated cheese or margarine


First put the mushrooms in warm water for 30 minutes.


Heat oil in the pan and lightly brown onions and meat, then add drained mushrooms and tomatoes. After, a little flour, stir and let cook for several minutes until you have a thick sauce. Put in the parsley, herbs and season well.


Put in a casserole pie dish, top with the mashed potatoes, small pieces of margarine or grated cheese and bake at around 175º for 20 minutes or until crisp and brown.
